More than forty female poets have been lived in sanga literarture period. The songs talk about the place of women in the society of that time and their social problems. In this way, the songs of two female poets, Anzil Anjiyar and Varumulaiyarathiyar, reveal the social position of the Sangam women. Women are also engaged in various professions to advance economic development at par with men for the development of society and family. Not only that, the songs of the two poets show that women lived in high and low status in the society of that time. The article explores the social situation of the time, the problems faced by women in it, and its culture.
